Telehealth FAQ
Does my insurance cover telehealth?
Most plans do, including Medicaid and Medicare. Telehealth coverage expanded significantly after 2020 and remains broadly available. Call 336-543-0480 to verify your plan before booking.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Your visit uses a secure browser-based video link sent to your email. Click the link at appointment time and you're connected from any device.
Can Dr. Lucas prescribe medications via telehealth?
Yes. Dr. Lucas can prescribe most medications via telehealth. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy the same day. Certain controlled substances have additional requirements under federal law.
I live outside the Greensboro area, can I still see Dr. Lucas?
Absolutely. Telehealth is available to patients anywhere in North Carolina. Your location doesn't matter, only your NC residency.
What if I need an in-person visit after my telehealth appointment?
Dr. Lucas will refer you to an in-person visit at our Greensboro office or arrange a mobile house call if you're in our service area. She will not leave you without a next step.
